Makerere university students will vote into power a new students’ leader (guild president) on March 19th.
In a statement released by the Electoral Commission Chairperson, Michael Byemero, students will vote for their guild president on Wednesday March 19th.Campaigns have already kicked off with a lot of enthusiasm and oomph.
Students will then vote for their representatives to the guild council (GRCs) on Friday 21st March.
With FDC’s Andrew Mujinya, and NRM’s Boniface Mbabazi kicked out of the race, DP’s Sarah Aseru looks to be the favorite.
The winner will replace Ms. Ann Adeke to head Makerere’s 80th guild.
