The family of a former Makerere University student who was murdered by a mob near Nkuruma hall of residence has threatened to sue the university if it does not pay for all the damage caused.
Addressing the media today the family lawyer David Ojok, Junior Bitek said that principally, Makerere University must compensate for the damages caused by the death of Ojok, because the university is entirely responsible for the safety of this hall.
He explained that the late Ojok had no criminal record in this university, neither was he found with exhibit, thus if not compensated, legal action will be taken against this university.
David Ojok a former Makerere student was murdered by a group of Nkrumah Hall students after suspecting him to be a thief.
On Friday, three students still affiliated to the same university where charged and remanded to the Luzira Prison in connection to the deceased’s murder.
