Akankunda Evas (deceased), a former medical student at Kampala International University was laid to rest on Wednesday April 6th, 2022 at Mbagwa cell, Kagango ward in Sheema district.
Akankunda, whose body was found lying helpless in her room on Monday (April 4th, 2022) in Kiryandongo town where she had been attached to Kiryandongo general Hospital, has been laid to rest amidst speculations of what the death of her cause could be.
Sources had earlier pinned her boyfriend only known as Kenneth as the Evas’ murderer. The Bee came to learn later that Evas’ longtime boyfriend, with whom she had been dating since year one, also ended his life in a hotel room in Tororo.
Postmortem examination reports conducted on the deceased (Evas) indicated that her body had been cut and her neck twisted drawing to a conclusion that she was actually murdered.
However, it’s not yet clear why Kenneth (Evas’ boyfriend) also decided to end his own life.
