Obed Gui Derrick Kwakboth, the Makerere University student of Education who was suspended for leading and organizing notorious strikes around the university has been reinstated after about two years on suspension.
Obed, as he is fondly known among his peers had almost given up on education when the vice chancellor suspended him indefinitely in August 2018. Exclusive news reaching Campus Bee is that the student has been reinstated.
In the letter of reinstatement from the vice chancellor, he is warned against further engaging in activities that may taint the image of the university if he wants to stay a student. The vice chancellor of Makerere University reserves the right to suspend and/or expel students that with approval of the disciplinary committee are rendered to have gone below the standard of discipline required by the university rules and regulations.
