Yesterday, a student of UCU (Uganda Christian University) – Nagayi Natasha, was shot by a police officer as she tried to access a rental house which she mistook to be her boyfriend’s.
The latest information indicates that it was the first time Ms Nagayi was accessing her boyfriend’s place in Nabuti Village, Mukono Central Division, Mukono Municipality. The boyfriend has since been identified as Mr Bandishe Ashraf.
Bandishe revealed to a native publication that the student didn’t return to her usual residence at University hall (UCU) since it was late in the night.
“Yesterday was her first time to stay outside for long. She resides in a university hall which is closed by midnight so she requested my house keys to go and rest since I was still drinking. I directed her and the boda boda guy to the purple apartments but they went to a wrong place” told Monitor
Ms Nagayi is now fighting for her life at Kawolo Hospital in Mukono.
