There’s a lot of distorted information making rounds on social media, especially, WhatsApp about the murder of Makerere University student, Desire Mirember Jemimah. First, a family member told Winnie Tabitha, one of our writers that they had gotten information that Desire had been beheaded. Later one, another family member calls to clarify that she was not beheaded. She was raped and murdered.
The biggest question however, is, how Desire was murdered. Why she was in Jinja and who had taken her there. Her close pals reveal that Desire had gone for a Phaneroo fellowship under the Heart of Christ Ministries. An anonymous person however sent this website WhatsApp messages saying that the deceased did not go for the Phaneroo fellowship since it (Phaneroo) only happens on Thursdays at the MTN Arena, Lugogo. Friends who were close to the deceased are quick to rule out the fact the Desire could lie that she is going for fellowship and yet she’s going somewhere else. “I knew her. She could not do that. She was a church girl. There was no way she could lie that she has gone to Jinja. Desire could not do that,” Jemimah, a friend to the deceased told this website.
