While appearing before the commission on land inquiry over the weekend, the Nakaseke District Land board chairperson Geoffrey Mukiibi shocked people when he failed to explain more details about his academic qualifications.
According to Mukiibi, he graduated from Makerere University with a Bachelor of Laws Degree back in 2006 but he failed to clearly explain more about his qualifications when the land inquiry committee grilled him hard. With his Law Degree, Mukiibi told the commission that he prefers giving his responses in Luganda language explaining that he does not feel comfortable with English.
When asked what kind of degree he got, the hesitant Mukiibi revealed that he got a second degree, lower but later got confused after the commission members continued asking him more questions., “I said second degree lower… they have asked me what degree did I get…” Mukiibi later sealed off the questions when he finally stated his degree title as LLB before he confused it to a pass.
