Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba, the head of church of Uganda and Bishop of Kampala diocese has urged Uganda Christian University (UCU) students to be optimistic and accept small beginnings.
This, he said during a service at St Andrew’s Cathedral, Mbale diocese on Friday 1st April, 2022 that marked the end of his pastoral visit at UCU Mbale campus.
“I know what it means to have nothing, to have little or nothing at all. It is not good to despise humble beginnings. Its okay to begin small. Besides, you can have something small and still make a big impact,” Archbishop Kaziimba said.
He further encouraged believers not to get tired of praying, trashing the celebrated fool’s day (1st April) as he claimed it’s a day of believers who know God and thus are not fools.
Archbishop Kaziimba thanked the institution’s principal Mrs. Mary Manana and the guild president Gerald Wambalya for turning UCU Mbale campus into what he branded a model college.
The Archbishop’s visit proceeds that of Professor Aaron Mushengyezi (Vice Chancellor UCU) and colleagues who say their visit at UCU Mbale is motivated by an intent to share testimonies from the main campus which is positively transforming.
