Viola Nagasha, a Second Year Student of Economics and Statistics at Uganda Christian University (UCU), Mukono and currently hospitalized at Mulago Cancer Institute, battling Leukaemia has cried out for help, in search for 108 million Shillings to further her treatment in India.
Nagasha, who hails from Mbarara started feeling pain in the stomach in mid-March this year and this was first thought of as basic ulcers and stomach infections until 31st March 2017 when the medics at Kampala hospital diagnosed her with leukemia. She was then transferred to Mulago Cancer Institute in early April where she has since been hospitalized.
Word from a close friend; Penelope, indicates that Nagasha had completed her first dose of chemotherapy before she developed a huge wound on her leg and doctors have since advised that they’ll need about 108 million shillings to take her to India for further treatment.
“She got a wound on her leg and now they keep sedating her so that she doesn’t feel so much pain. She says it’s so painful and what she needs is medication as soon as possible, she doesn’t want to die.” – Penelope, a close circle to Nagasha narrated to our writer.
The mother adds on that when they tested, the doctors found out that Nagasha had very few platelets, and like the 140 expected of a normal adult, she had only four. She currently lost appetite, eats very little but she drinks and also contracted a cough which made her lose her voice. She calls out anyone who can help her daughter with any penny, as the Good Lord might suppose them to kindly pass this through the bank account (Stanbic Bank) 9030013330807 or Airtel Money (Registered; Patience) 0703036488 and God will reward them abundantly. Like any mother, she fears most to lose her daughter.
