Dr. Stella Nyanzi Vows to Stage Another Nude Protest

Makerere University researcher, Dr. Stella Nyanzi has once again struck the air waves after she vowed to stage a nude protest at the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), with coordination from a group of sex workers all over Uganda if government doesn’t pay socialite, Shanita Namuyimbwa popularly known as Bad Black.

This comes at a time when the socialite is locking horns with Ministry of health for allegedly failing to pay her 500M UGX for her participation in the Coronavirus awareness advertisement.

In the awareness advert, Bad Black appears urging sex workers to keep away from truck drivers in order to curb the spread of the deadly COVID-19.

In a facebook post published today (Friday), Dr. Nyanzi clearly states that she stands with Bad Black and won’t stop until the socialite is paid.

“I stand with Shanita Namuyimbwa. Give the lady her money! If the Ministry of Health does not pay up, I will coordinate a group of sex workers from all over Uganda to hold a peaceful protest at the OPM. Some of us will undress in the protest” wrote Dr. Nyanzi.

It should be recalled that in April 2016, Dr. Nyanzi staged a nude protest after she was locked out of her office by the Makerere University Institute of Social Research (MISR) director, Prof Mahmood Mamdani.

Earlier today, Bad Black met with Presidential Advisor Balaam Barugahara who assured her that if she tonnes down and stops abusing government, she’ll get an opportunity to meet President Museveni along with her fellow sex workers to iron out their problems.
