It is a known norm among most student hostels for visitors to sign in before entering. It helps them regulate the entrants into the hostels and keep security tight. Nana Hostel in Makerere – Kagugube, has however taken the situation extra.
Nana residents got the surprise of their lives when their authorities asked for resident IDs before entering the premises. What is funny however, the same authorities never issued Identity Cards to the residents at all.
“We spent hours outside hostel because we didn’t have IDs. Apparently, it is a thing now and everyone entering must have an ID but some of us were never issued an IDs.” One of the residents told Campus Bee.
The management however later swallowed their pride and registered the members without IDs to have their own processed and delivered.
