Nkumba held its Guild Presidential Election last weekend which was won by Amagule Sunday scooping 378 votes, followed by Opera Oteremwa who got 304 votes, Isaac Muhweezi, Faruk Mubiru and Paddy Lwazi getting 79, 34 and 8 votes respectively.
Life is not the same however for Mr Lwazi after he emerged last, managing to scoop just 8 votes among the over 700 votes that were cast. This candidate went on to dissolve his WhatsApp group that he used to campaign for guild by removing every person that was in it.
The group consisted of over 240 participants but he ended up getting 8 votes and assuming that he voted himself, he got seven votes from his supporters.
Lwazi lost elections despite having been in the People Power camp and he put the blame of his losing to the people who he termed to as “spies” that were looking for ways of making him lose instead of winning and these were members who were even in his camp.
