In order to assist students to participate in online lectures, the management of Uganda Martyr’s University (UMU) has resolved to waive off ICT fees which was part of this semester’s tuition.
This was revealed in a statement from the registrar posted on UMU platforms indicating that the management has eased the accessibility to online teaching for UMU students.

Dear students, management noted your cries related to data accessibility in view of attending online teaching and learning. On behalf of management, Iam pleased to announce to you the following:
- The ICT fee you are supposed to pay part of the fees to the university for this semester is hereby waived off so as to enable you use the same money to access internet data.
- Students who have already paid this fee will be compensated in the coming semester, meaning that they will be exempted from paying it in that semester. For finalists, some arrangement will be made with the finance department to ensure that they benefit from the same.
Secondly, if you left luggage’s and other personal property in your room, you’re hereby informed that you should come to main campus and take it away within 2 weeks from today as the university would like to work on the rooms.
