The whereabouts of Dr Brian Bagyenda, who confessed to have murdered MUBS students, Enid Twijukye are not known, Campus Bee has learnt.
Dr. Bagyenda [also son to new ISO boss, Col Frank Bagyenda] was arrested last week and detained at Jinja Road police station. Jinja Road Divisional Police Commander, Moses Eliau said that Dr Bagyenda is supposed to be arraigned in court this week but the deceased’s mother, Esther Mirembe Nkoko says that Bagyenda is nolonger under custody.
“He was picked over the weekend by plain clothed men and taken to an unknown location. We are afraid justice for our daughter may never prevail,” Nkoyoyo is reported to have said.
Police spokerperson, Andrew Felix Kaweesi on the other hand says he’s not aware. “I have not handled that case so please try other sources,” he said.
The relatives say that the suspect is the first son and that the father is likely to use his influence to temper with justice.
Enid Twijukye’s body was discovered rotting after she disappeared from her home in very unclear circumstances on January 4, 2016. It is said that she was working at Capital Shoppers in Nakawa, was supposed to graduate in February.
