Enrollment for the Uganda Aviation Academy (UAA) September intake is up as many students embrace aviation careers.
Uganda Aviation Academy has seen a significant rise in the number of students that are enrolling for courses in the aviation sector.
UAA attributes the high enrollment to it’s ground team that has done a lot of sensitisation about the academy and the courses it does offer.
The aviation academy has three intakes; January, May and September. Enrollment for the September intake is still ongoing.
Despite the high enrollment, UAA is still calling for more applications for the different courses at the academy. The academic currently runs 10 programmes and these are;
Flight Operations and dispatch
This is a 9 months programme open to UACE certificate holders of at least 20 years of age at the time of enrolling. These must be able to read and write and communicate in the English language.
Foundation in Travel and Tourism
The minimum age requirement for admission is at least 17 years and applicants must possess an O level certificate.
Airline Cabin Crew Training
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age and at most 27. Must have a minimum height of 160CM (female) and 170CM (male) with a weight proportional to their height. They must have at least a UACE certificate.
Other programmes offered at the aviation academy include Airport Operation, Cargo introduction course, Airline customer service and Aviation Security awareness.
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of UGX 50,000 paid to the school bank. Learn more
