Uganda Christian University on Saturday collected overs shs10 million towards the reconstruction of Kasubi Tombs commonly known as masiiro. The “chief begger” read Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga visited the Mukono based varsity over the weekend for his ‘brick’. He was awarded the dummy cheque by Dr. John Senyonyi on behalf of the university. Other individual contributions were also made during the function.
Senior lecturers and professors made personal contributions of not more than shs5,000.
Makerere University in May contributed over shs55 million towards the same cause.
