His Excellency Museveni To Grace The UNSA Opening On 27th January 2015

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has confirmed his presence at the opening of the National Students Council which is on Tuesday 27^th January, 2015 at Teso College Aloet in Soroti district according to UNSA president, His Excellency Matadah Abubakar.

“There has been a revolution going on in UNSA , and we are making efforts to ensure that the team that takes over can consolidate and maintain the momentum and build a formidable students movement”. Abubakar said.

National students Council discusses issues affecting students and elects new leaders. Last year’s council were held at St Augustine University Kansanga opened by then premier Amama Mbabazi. Every University and tertiary institution is expected to send three representatives mainly Guild president, Speaker, and women affairs secretary. Every district is also expected to send three representatives, Chairman, speaker and gender secretary.

This year’s candidates for President are Aber Lillian Muk vice president , Saddam Hussein IUIU Kampala campus , Arthur Baliruno UCU Mukono , Ouma Idi UCU Mbale , Edgar Wandwasi MUST guild president , Byarugaba Julius guild Nkumba University, Irumba Victor Kyambogo University
