It is exciting. It is heart warming. It is joy filling. It gives beautiful butterfly feelings. It is called the 18th Fresher’s ball.
For two years and some months now, the Kyambogo University students have fantasized about Freshers’ ball, an elating social activity that had been halted due to COVID 19.
Now everyone is over the moon that after two miserable years, this fantasy is now coming to a reality. Have you heard these handsome guys and pretty ladies talk about Friday, the 17th of June?
You would nearly touch what joy and happiness they feel about the day. On Monday 13th June, someone shared a message in one of the class WhatsApp groups of faculty of arts and social sciences lamenting that;
“How many minutess to Friday? Mpulila byantamye dda.”
Just imagine the excitement that is about to burst out of this person, I wonder how many minutes now.
These feelings of extreme happiness are totally justified. Being organized by Campus Bee that brings you the latest campus news and exciting gossip, the exhilaration is understood.
Besides, it is also sponsored by Uganda Waragi and Guinness smooth. A number of artistes have confirmed their presence for the Freshers’ ball that will take place tomorrow 17th June at the East End pitch.
The talented vocalists include are Mudra D’Viral, Martha Mukisa, Zex Bilangilangi, Ykee Benda, Gravity Omutuujju and Fefe Bussi.
Entry is free. All you need is a little money to buy yourself a drink or eat a cone of ice cream. Social activities such as the freshers’ ball attract so many people from all corners with limitless.
On a lighter note, students who have attended at least one Freshers’ ball have lots to say. They always seem to be sounding caution. When you carry your very expensive gadgets or even these small phones to the Freshers’ ball where you are expected to be watching the artists perform and enjoying their vibe in the dark hours of the night, someone might have to help you keep that phone for eternity.
It’s okay to go about in these skimpy clothes as long as you feel comfortable. But if you are going to feel offended and yell and scream furiously when the boy child is attracted to touch what you yourself have exposed, you still can reconsider your costume for the night.
If you are going to take a small drink, do it responsibly. You are all invited for the 18th Freshers’ ball. Don’t miss miss out on your favorite artists, your favorite Dee Jays and the sound of music that heals your soul.
