Campus Bee has exclusively established that this year’s Nyege Nyege festival is still on despite the outbreak of COVID-19.

According to an email sent by organizers that Campus Bee has seen, this year’s event slated to happen at Nile Discovery Beach is still on.

“Hope to see you at Nyege Nyege this year” the email reads in part.

Details about the dates are still scanty but the event normally happens early September.

For those who have never been at this lit festival, the event goes down in Njeru Town Council, Buikwe district. It attracts revellers from all corners of the world with an aim of having a full musical blast while rubbing shoulders with their pals.

According to President Museveni’s recent address on COVID-19, a final lifting of the lockdown is yet to happen as the country continues to flatten the curve.
