Exclusive news reaching the Campus Bee news desk indicate that the girl who was raped and dumped at Makerere University on Wednesday morning was set join Kyambogo University next semester. According to a source that preferred anonymity, the raped girl was only identified as Barbra, who was a cleaner at Ham Towers opposite Makerere University main gate.
Barbara was raped on her way to work in the morning before her body was dumped near Livingston Hall. More details indicate that she was a sister to Julius Muduse, a Makerere University student whom she stayed with at Dyno Camp Hostel located in Kikumikikumi. It is said that Barbara joined Dyno Camp hostel in April this year before she got a job.
“She was killed on Wednesday morning, they took her to mulago that day. Those who killed her removed everything, the nicker, she used to wear a legging, they also removed it. Someone came here with her naked photo in the morning and that’s how we came to know that she was Julius’ sister.” A source told Campus Bee.
According our source, Barbra was admitted to join Kyambogo University next semester and she was in her final preparations of shifting. “I heard the friends say that she was admitted in Kyambogo, the brother was here in Makerere but I think Makerere refused to give her because she had also applied there.” A source adds.
Dyno Hostel residents describe Barbra as a young hard working girl who used to leave for work at 5.45am and by 7am, she would have already finished cleaning.
Her body was on Wednesday morning taken to Mulago hospital where it spent a day before being buried on Thursday in Mubende District.
