The Face of MUK contest grand finale that was to be held on November 4 last year is finally here tonight. The event had to be postponed due to the university’s closure.
After the boot camp at Motola Island, the 10 contestants are now set to face the judges at Freedom Square tonight starting from 7pm.
The event is going to be graced by the Deputy VC Prof Barnabas Nawangwe and the Principle College of Humanities and Social sciences (Chuss) Prof Edward Kirumiira.
A new twist has been added onto the prizes for the top three contestants where Africell will award them with 4G smartphones. The top 3 contenders will enroll at Olson University for their international masters scholarship unlike last time when the conditions stated that they were to apply at any university of their choice.
The other prizes that include tuition for a full year for the winner and a fully paid trip across the world remain unchanged. The minister for Gender Hon. Derrick Akatukunda will also walk away with a 4G smartphone from Africell in appreciation of his organizing efforts.
There will be great performances from renowned dance hall artistes like Cindy, Bobi Wine, Phille and also MAK’s own Habibz from Mitchel hall and Lil Andy from Lumumba.
