Always looking out for their customers’ needs, the team at Sage Buyers (an Apple shop) in Kampala have launched a campaign to aid fast, and convenient upgrades for all iPhone users in Uganda.
When Stanley Ssempijja, a Pharmacist and CEO at Sage Buyers said his dream was to have an iPhone for every Uganda, many of us couldn’t imagine how he’d achieve that. But from regular giveaways to customers, partnerships with credit company’s like Lipa Later and campaigns like #JoogaNeSage, we can see his dream materializing.
Upgrading in the iPhone world is when one trades in their old iPhone with cash to get to a better iPhone. In other areas like USA, Europe, Asia they’re called Trade ins but they’re mostly known as Top-ups.
Speaking to Campus Bee, Ssempijja, the Sage CEO explained the origin of the campaign, saying that “Okujooga” is a Luganda word to mean bragging which is why they seek to increase their customers’ bragging rights in the duration of the campaign.
“When a client holds a better iPhone, it gives them better bragging rights in the society. We want everyone to have that. Now all of you can top up on your iPhone to get a better iPhone through #JooganeSage.” He said.
Objective of the campaign:
- To focus on the existing customers at sage buyers, this is to enable sage buyers focus on making its customers happy and satisfied.
- To entertain new customers, this applies to people who’d like to upgrade to a better iPhone.
- To give back to our customers that is through offering services like Free delivery, free data transfers etc.
- To create a base to introduce the Sage Sapphire cards which will be offered to clients to purchase products from Sage Buyers.
