The wait for graduation at Kyambogo University is one that is still long-stretched as 19th graduation ceremony is now slated to take place starting Wednesday 6th December 2023 to Friday 8th December 2023 at the University (sports) ground.
The graduation will come after over 8 months with the pending 2022 finalists completed their studies in January. Many others from the same cohort are, in the meantime, doing school practice and industrial training.
However, students have expressed frustration due to the long-wait towards graduation.
“To tell someone I wrote my last paper on the 27th of January and waited for 11months to graduate, I can be arraigned in court for blackmail yet it’s the truth,” a one Larii Odong said.
“But why would kyambogo take a whole year to graduate students who finished exams in January. This is very wrong. Let the university give out transcripts and certificates of graduation if they can graduate,” saidPaul Pandro
Last year, the university marked a record-high of students graduating since the institution’s establishment in 2003. The number is expected to go higher this year.
