The Varsity Media Limited on Friday launched the first ever Varsity Awards at Club Silk. The awards seek to reward excellence in over sixteen universities in the country.
The awards with theme, ‘‘Motivation with Inspiration” will be held on October 3 at Theatre Labonita.
Nomination forms are now available in the participating universities countrywide that are; Makerere University, MUBS, Kyambogo, Uganda Christian University, Kampala University, International University of East Africa, St. Lawrence, I.U.I.U, Nkumba, Cavendish, K.I.U, Gulu University, Ndejje University, Nkozi University among others.
Some of the awards categories include;

- University of the year
- Varsity outstanding Vice Chancellor
- Varsity Outstanding Guild President
- Varsity Male Achiever of the year
- Varsity Female Achiever of the year
- Varsity Leadership Award
- Varsity outstanding Sports personality
- Varsity Outstanding Internship Opportunistic Company
- Varsity Popular Online sites
- Varsity Social Corporate Award and many more.
