Choosing to donate your money to charity is a laudable decision. It is important to give to charities that do the most good with their money. Social advance depends quite as much upon an increase in moral sensibility as it does upon a sense of duty. You don’t know the relevancy of charity until you meet a group of senior six vacists. Under their umbrella group christened “Throw It Back”.
Now in existence for over a year, TiB continues to strive to expand and promote basketball talent and giving back to the community through charity. TiB is a brain child of Kasozi Mark Jordan and together with his vigilant team comprised of Isingoma Anthony, Shane Spector, Waiswa Lazarus, Kigonya Arnold, Mugasa Kenneth, Masiko Timothy, Anguzu Keith and Ankunda Patience. “The Mandate of TiB as an organisation is to uplift the welfare of the disadvantaged, ” says Arnold Kigonya.
TiB hosted its first event, #dunkforcharity in January 2016 at Kampala Parents School and was intended to offer a helping hand to children at Nsambya Babies Home.
The team is currently putting shoulders to the wheel to host yet another event at the indoor courts Lugogo on 21st May 2016, a fundraiser to help contribute medical bills for Atuhirwe Carol themed under the hashtag #ballforlife. Entrance is 5k and 10k for ladies and gentlemen respectively. Come show love to these philanthropists. Every charitable act is a stepping stone towards heaven.
