Former Kyambogo guild presidents including Ochieng Joseph commonly known as Ochieng and Kafuko Ian are spearheading a charity drive dubbed #1book1pen for eastern Uganda.
Under their umbrella of G21, these young charismatic gentlemen have taken it upon themselves to play a role towards making a better nation. In a face book post Ochieng said “…irrespective of our differences in religion, region or ethnic origins, we all need each other as Ugandans to make this place a better country for everyone…”
This Country needs all of us ,am happy to be part of the G21 organization we all have to play a role towards making this nation a “better Nation ” irrespective of our differences in religion, region or ethnic origins, we all need each other as Ugandans to make this place a better country for us,
And let us not be lied that may be some foreigner will come from nowhere to make this Nation better of us, it’s our responsibility as the owners of this place to think for ourselves and work tirelessly to make country reach the” light of the world “we are dreaming of ,let’s join heads together to think for better today in this Nation.
Before we call for any amount of foreign support we should always start with ourselves because it all starts with us before we look at other people,
We indeed acknowledge that the academic performance of Eastern region of Uganda last year was really not to our expectations since the performance was really not very exciting as many people failed in both primary and secondary levels and of Education
Shall we just seat or stand to watch the schools in Uganda collapse as we are seeing?, I believe we must do something to bring some inspiration to the students still studying in schools to motive them to stay in schools and never to drop out in young age,
Education is part of the keys to the padlocks that have been blocking Uganda from reaching the development standards that we all desire
” For I tell you my fellow Ugandans for this Nation to see the lights of development, the darkness accompanied with ignorance and illiteracy should be first dealt with seriously ”
Development can realized easily in economies with no rooms for ignorance and illiteracy,
Join us in creating impact in the Eastern region through the one book one pen project.
