Buni Christopher, a son to Arua Municipality Member of Parliament, Kassiano Wadri got it hot when he tried to compose a touching motivational post.
Buni, who also doubles as a former Kyambogo University Guild President took to his Twitter to advise young people to be patient before revealing how he endured walking a long distance to work.
According to Buni, he used to walk from Kireka to Kabowa for work because he was paid UGX 200,000 per month. Buni further revealed that the 200k could not even clear his rent but as a hardworking young man, he had bigger dreams.
“In 2014, I took on a teaching job that paid me 200k per month (less than my rent) & had me walking from Kireka to Kabowa, Entebbe road. It’s the opportunity I had & I endeavored. Before you complain, eat that half a loaf as you wait for more. Take it & work with what’s available.” Buni tweeted.
However, Buni’s tweet landed on alert Tweeps who instantly stormed his comments section to serve him some hot tea. Several Tweeps trashed his motivational tweet as they asked him how he survived on Kampala streets. Others wondered what time he arrived for work while some wanted to know why he didn’t shift to a nearer location.
One Sheila Nyonyozi asked him how he paid rent since he said the 200k was not enough.
“So how did u manage to pay rent?? Get to ur place of work, nzesijja bikiliza bi walking from kireka to kabowa knowing both places. What were u eating? How were u going about ur bills?? Is there something ur not telling us?” Nyonyozi asked.
“I think you just wanted to motivate us but this whole thing doesn’t make sense to me .1. Why not shift near your work place in kabowa rent a cheaper house. Looks like you took a job to improve your physical fitness just,” Another Tweep commented.
Buni’s former campus mates have alerted Campus Bee that the former Kyambogo Guild President had his own car, given the fact that he was a student when his father’s political career was at its peak.
“That guy had a car while at Kyambogo. By then his dad Wadri Kassiano was at the apex of his political career. There is no way how he could have walked.” A former Kyambogo student intimated to this writer.
