After cheating death early this year when the building that collapsed along Makerere road nearly burried her, Ex- Makerere University Guild President, Adeke Anna Ebaju will have that bad memory fade away and thus be replaced by a fine one.
The flamboyant and charismatic lady, who stood as an independent candidate polling at 128 votes to win the hotly contested seat has today been sworn in as the National Female Youth MP together with other MPs at the ongoing Member of Parliament swearing-in of the 10th Parliament at Parliament.
Ms. Anna Adeke Ebaju, 24, is a holder of a bachelor’s degree in-laws of Makerere University and was also the Guild President of the university in 2013/14. She also had a short stint as the Chairperson of the Uganda National Students Association.
On winning the seat, She (Adeke) promised to advocate for increased funding of youth councils, autonomous youth ministry instead of the current set up where the youth ministry is under the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development.
Congratulations.
