Edgar O. Davids is a former Makerere University Industrial Design student who also doubles as the CEO for Pixan Corporation, a Ugandan mobile phone manufacturing company. Together with his friend Leilah, Edgar founded Pixan four years ago at the same time studying at Makerere University. According to Edgar, Pixan has already designed mobile phones and manufacturing is set to kick off next month.

Following the success of Pixan, these innovators have come up with another product aimed at promoting software developers and their work. In an event dubbed ‘Uganda PC Developers Convention 2018’ held at Ntida Complex, Pixan officially launched a new product named “Pixan Developers”. The event was graced by both professional and student developers around the city.
“We want to create a community of developers and may be use this platform to empower other more developers in Uganda, both in hardware, software and other business developing sections. This product will be up and running on our website, If you create an account you can get access to internship programs and career guidance” says Edgar .
Apparently, Pixan is looking forward to collaborating with other start-up companies for both partnership and sharing of ideas. At the moment, Pixan is collaborating with Fund Africa, Innovation Village, and Uganda Facebook developers.
