Makerere University’s long time strike machine is currently bedridden at Malcolm medical center after he collapsed under unclear circumstances.
According to a tweet by an admin on his Twitter handle, doctors ran several tests but couldn’t come to a conclusion of what he is suffering from.
Musiri David became prominent in the #FeesMustFall protest where a viral video showed him being arrested by several police officers during the strike, a situation that led to his suspension with several others by Makerere University’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Nawangwe.
After campus, Musiri went ahead to contest as a member of parliament in his Makindye constituency where a NUP card contest favored Allan Ssewanyana.
He was arrested in the period leading to the 2021 elections where he petitioned the Electoral Commission to reveal to public, President Museveni’s academic documents.
Musiri currently heads the National Unity Platform (NUP) – Institutions wing where he has registered several victories for the party in different Universities.
