The daughter of former minister Nsaba Buturo has passed on, drawing condolences from political, corporate and social circles across the country.
Racheal Ainembabazi Buturo, a Marketing Assistant at Housing Finance Bank, died recently, according to an official statement released by the bank’s management. Details surrounding the cause of death were not disclosed.
Housing Finance Bank described Racheal as a dedicated and vibrant young professional who made a strong impression during her time at the institution. She joined the bank’s head office in Kololo on July 8, 2024, working in the marketing department.
“During her time with us, she was known for being brilliant, hardworking, ambitious, collaborative and a phenomenal team player,” the bank said in its tribute.
Racheal was the daughter of Nsaba Buturo, a seasoned politician who previously served in cabinet and remains a respected figure in public life. News of her death has been met with an outpouring of sympathy from colleagues, friends and members of the public.
The bank extended its condolences to the Buturo family and the entire Housing Finance Bank fraternity, saying it stands with them during this difficult time. It said burial arrangements will be communicated later.
