In a tournament that took place on Saturday November 17th at the principle hall of Ugandan Christian University, Mukono, the former Mr International University of East Africa (IUEA) topped the participating players.
Milton Mwila, the former Mr International University of East Africa (IUEA) who also doubles as the University’s scrabble captain has emerged winner of Inter University scrabble tournament with only one loss in a game he played alongside UCU’s team captain Nicholas Ashahebwa.

A total of 5 universities took part in the competition which include; Makerere, Uganda Christian University (UCU), Kyambogo, Busitema, and IUEA. Kyambogo University also topped the university standings in this tournament.
The games were played in a total of 8 rounds, where the computer system pairing was introduced after the fourth round as they chose players according to their strengths, in what is termed as ‘King of the Hill’.
The participating universities will later send their teams to battle it out at the East African University Games which will be held between 16th and 21st of December at Dodoma University in Tanzania. All the Universities will be required to send teams that will represent their respective campuses and the country at large.
