Former Makerere University Guild Vice President in the 86th Guild House, a one Awal Noella and current Vice President and Head of the Ugandan Delegation to the East African Students Union (EASU), who doubles as the General secretary of Uganda Students Association (UNSA), a one Roy Rugumayo welcomed a bouncing baby boy on May 14th 2022 at exactly 10:38PM (EAT).
With joy and gratitude, the happy couple went on to break the good news to their followers on social media with an official communication.
“It is with great joy that Roy and Noella welcome their son, Byabanyagi Jace Rugumayo to the world,” read the communication.
The two lovebirds met at Makerere University after finding themselves at the forefront of many student protests that were aimed at the betterment of the institution.
Roy Rugumayo was a common face in the #Feesmustfall strike that saw him arrested with several others and presented before court. He went ahead to become the president of the school of psychology where his term in office was marked by constant demands for policies that were aimed at improving the services at the school of psychology as well as the entire university.
Awal Noella was the Vice Guild President in the 86th Guild House with Sempijja Ivan as the Guild president where they agitated for the resignation of Uganda’s minister of Education (Janet Museveni) after failing to handle the Covid-19 crisis in relation to the general education in Uganda.
