Former Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) Guild President Arinda Daisy Kankiriho has delighted her followers after publicly announcing her introduction ceremony, revealing that her partner Nasasira Clinton had fulfilled a promise made to her in 2023.

The couple held a traditional introduction ceremony in Ankole, dubbed “Okureta nte za Daisy” — a culturally significant event in the Ankole tradition where the groom presents an agreed upon number of cows as bride price to the bride’s family. The ceremony marked a formal and official recognition of the couple’s union before both families.

“It has always been my prayer to God that my first love would be my last and indeed He listened to my prayers and now I am standing in my forever,” Arinda wrote on social media, tagging her partner Nasasira Clinton.
The post quickly attracted warm congratulatory messages from friends, colleagues and well-wishers. Taremwa Tadeo described the announcement as a blessing, writing that it is a blessing to get married at a young age and wishing the couple unending happiness. He also playfully nudged a friend, @joramtweets, asking what he was waiting for.
Ezra Byakutangaza and Yasin Kezimbira also extended their congratulations, with Kezimbira invoking Allah’s blessings on the union. Naturinda Emmex offered warm wishes and referenced Mark 10:9 — the biblical verse that reads “what God has joined together, let no one separate” — a fitting blessing for the couple’s new chapter.
