Olemwa! When misfortune hits, there’s a way it decides to “suss” it in the process (read kukisuusa). Former Kampala Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Hudu Hussein must be a troubled man after his boss, President Museveni, decided to transfer him to Yumbe (on the South Sudan boarder) as he is attending physical classes at Law Development Centre (LDC) Kampala Campus.
LDC which has gone back to compulsory physical classes, in light of the reductions in COVID-19 infections, demands strict attendance and “upcountry deployments or work” are not any excuse for missing. Ideally, if you have a demanding job upcountry or anywhere, they expect you to resign from it once you are admitted and start classes.
Campus Bee has received information that Hudu Hussein, a hitherto no-nonsense Kampala RCC who had threatened to chase street vendors, street preachers and boda boda cyclists out of the CBD in new policy proposals, is also a student at the Kampala Campus of LDC. As such, he is either expected to turn down his appointment in Yumbe or to report on duty and leave immediately if he still wants to graduate from the centre.
He has been replaced by Amina Lukanga, whom we have learned was one of the two Ugandans that nominated President Museveni when he sought to stand for another term in 2021. The other nominator being the NRM Youth League chairman Mr. Gadhafi Nasur. Find the full list of RDCs here;
