Former Uganda Christian University (UCU) student Elizabeth Bagaya, 26, is set to represent Uganda at the 70th edition of the Miss World pageant on December 16, 2021. Reports coming in indicate that Bagaya, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in human resource management will showcase her beauty in an event scheduled to go down at the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Being the first runner-up of the last Miss Uganda Pageant, Bagaya was in April announced as the interim Miss Uganda 2020/21. This was shortly after Miss Uganda, Oliver Nakakande returned to pursue her studies following the expiry of her term in office.

It should be recalled that the melanated queen vowed to make a difference in people’s lives ahead of the previous Miss Uganda pageant. Sadly, she did not manage to win. Nevertheless, Bagaya is making big moves and the country is proud of her slow but steady achievements.
Bagaya also took part in the Miss MTN Pulse pageant 2019 and scooped the 4,500 voice minutes and 30GB data every month for one year. It is worth mentioning that Bronnie Divine Kusiima was crowned Miss MTN Pulse 2019.
