Law Development Center (LDC) Kampala campus held it’s graduation ceremony today, 23rd June, 2023.
Hundreds jubilated as they marked the end of another race in their academic journey.
These included former Vice President of the Republic of Uganda, Dr. Specioza Wandira Kazibwe.
She graduated with a Diploma into Law.
“An exciting moment: Former Vice President of the Republic of Uganda, Dr. Specioza Wandira Kazibwe, got to the dance floor with other graduates at the K’la Campus graduation. She graduated with a Diploma in Law. Congs former VP and the rest of the graduates!” LDC announced.
Hon Specioza was the first female vice president in Africa. She was the sixth vice president of Uganda from 1994 to 2003, making her the first woman in Africa to hold the position of vice-president of a sovereign nation.
Dr. Speciosa Kazibwe is also a surgeon after 1974 entering Makerere University School of Medicine, where she studied human medicine, graduating with the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1979.
She later obtained the degree of Master of Medicine, also from Makerere University Medical School, specializing in General Surgery.
In 2009, she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Science (SD), by Harvard School of Public Health, Department of Population and International Health.
She has today added another accolade to her revered CV.
