The world of art and the political realm share a moment of grief as Samantha Kabahuma Babiiha, a vibrant talent and recent master’s graduate in creative arts from Italy, has passed away at the age of 30. Samantha, a granddaughter of the late Vice President Babiiha, was poised to make her mark at the intersection of creativity and tradition.
Samantha’s journey was characterized by her commitment to artistic expression and her family’s legacy. Her recent accomplishment in obtaining a master’s degree was a testament to her dedication and promise in the world of creative arts.
Tragically, Samantha’s promising future was cut short by acute pneumonia, leaving those who knew her and the artistic community in mourning. The suddenness of her departure serves as a poignant reminder of life’s fragility.
As we reflect on Samantha’s life and contributions, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Babiiha family. May Samantha Kabahuma Babiiha’s soul rest in peace, leaving behind a legacy that will forever resonate in the hearts of those touched by her creativity and spirit.
Eulogy
THE SHARP KNIFE OF A SHORT LIFE.
I think this is enough, Lord. Please forgive us !!!
How are we going to continue like this? We are so young but yet we are not sure of tomorrow in the most scary way possible.
I was with Samantha a few weeks ago. She was showing me her station at @MotivUG , Bugolobi, she showed me around her warehouse, introduced me to her workmates, showed me the bags she was designing and producing on her own, we talked so long, long enough to know how bright her future was and I can’t believe this news.
Lord! Whatever we did to deserve this sharp knife of short lives.
Please forgive us and end these deaths.
It’s draining our hope and our dreams. If our own keep leaving us so soon, how shall we look forward to tomorrow.
Please 🙏
Rest In Peace Samantha Kabahuma.
