FULL LIST: Makerere Suspends 9 Students For Destroying Property, Injuring Innocent Colleagues

The Makerere University Management has today taken a step to suspend a total of nine students who reportedly participated in destroying university property, injuring fellow students as well destroying property belonging to outside businesses.

The latest statement from the university indicates that a full list has been compiled and it will soon be shared on their official website. Other 26 students with minor cases have received warning letters as the strike over tuition increment continues.

“Management has taken disciplinary action on students who have destroyed University property, injured fellow students & property for businesses operating outside. The involved students have been Suspended & others warned. The list will shortly be shared on the University website.” A statement on the university social media platforms reads.

In other news at Makerere, officials at the university library have rubbished claims that teargas canisters were thrown inside today morning.

“This is to make it clear that there were no teargas canisters thrown in the library as portrayed by different media platforms.” The Makerere Library twitted.
