In a statement shared on Uganda Christian University (UCU) social media platforms, a number of new heads of academic departments were unveiled. The online communication came after the unveiling meeting that was held at the Mukono-based university on Monday.
The announced officials include; Assoc. Prof. Elizabeth Kizito who will be serving as Dean Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Canon Dr. Olivia Nassaka Banja as Dean Education and Arts (Effective September 2021) while Dr. Emilly Comfort Maractho is the new Director of Africa Policy Center (APC).
Other newly appointed heads are; Mrs. Pamela Tumwebaze who will be serving as the Coordinator for UCU’s Honours College, Dr. Mariam Mutabazi – Dean Faculty of Health Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Eng. Eleanor Wozei – Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Design, and Dr. Gerald Tumusime – UCU School of Medicine.
Meanwhile, Mr. Vincent Kisenyi is the new Dean for UCU School of Business while Dr. Peter Mutesasira will serve as the Dean Faculty of Law. Rev. Dr. David Omona was also appointed as Dean Faculty of Social Sciences.
UCU students are currently doing their examinations as preparations to kick off the May semester are underway. According to communication from the university, students will report for the May semester on 15th May while classes will kick off on Monday 17th.
