Legal scholars pursuing the bar course in Mbarara City have come out to express disappointment in one of their fellows.
Concerned students at the Law Development Center have tipped off this publication about the uncouth tendency by a one Winnie who sleeps over around friends’ rooms for months and keeps shifting without notice or even paying worthwhile rent.
“We register our disappointment in this student. She stays in people’s houses, pays rent of only one month and escapes in the night. This has to stop, we are tired of this behaviour from her,” an anonymous complainant told the Bee.
Allegedly, Winnie (full name withheld) has made it a custom to stay at fellow learners’ places for a while and thereafter disappears without warning.
Winnie works as a Court Clerk in Mbarara and her survival skills started running out when she became the talk of LDC, with more victims surfacing.
In other instances, she contributes pennies towards rent and relocates after a while when the finances ‘are on the low.’
