It’s mourns and loud shouts of sorrow around Uganda Christian University as many students now languish inside their rooms for they barely have any cloth to wear.
This deadly state of terror on the students’ clothes is all attributed to a new unknown terror thug squad that emanated and mainly operates around Bugujju a neighboring suburb to the university.
Since the students’ level of security intelligence has evolved over time and it has proved entirely for thieves to get exclusive access to students’ luxuries so they too have decided to hit the students where it hurts most, steal one of their basic needs, clothes.
In broad daylight many students especially those living in rentals have already fallen prey to this group’s malicious acts. A female resident who on this basis preferred to keep anonymity says she lost all her clothes in a whisker and barely has any to don on.
“It was in the evening when this all omen befell me. I picked up my boyfriend’s shirts first and headed for my room before I would come back for the rest of the loot. To my amazement, my clothes had all disappeared; like gone in seconds.” She narrates.
It’s the girls who have fallen victim most since these thugs target more of the female attires like leggings and tops and for the men’s khaki trousers, those are favorites for these thieves too.
Rentals around re-known Orange hostel have been hit most and many students have been spotted sited by their verandas ruthlessly guarding their loot till it dries.
No thug has either been spotted in action or caught but these wailing students are now calling onto the UCU Mukono police OC Tukundane to come to their rescue.
