The reigning Gulu University guild government came into power in mid April 2015 as a new frontier of change under the leadership of H.E Richard Bongowat Luganya. He won over the support of many who believed him to be humble and Godly overwhelmingly being supported by the Christian Union.
Five months however since being elected, many now think the ‘disguising Godly’ gentleman has only used the guild only to the good of his ‘manhood’. Shortly after being elected, the 29 year old and father of three dropped his girlfriend only identified as Ekyasimire Gloria. Though his confidents such as the D.PM claim he dropped her after discovering she had previously aborted thrice one being for a lecturer in her faculty of education whose name he declined to reveal, Gloria is said to have busted the president exploring the ‘High-lands’ of Nabala Florence, one of his ministers. Florence has since then taken over and this is what has thrown the guild in a mess. It is reported that the GP pays for Florence’s bedroom services by sending her to most of the travels from which she is financially facilitated. Apparently this has not gone well with most ministers who have developed much hatred for the 3rd year medical school lady. She is however determined to keep her position at the big man’s side. Recently she was reported to have exchanged bitterly with the finance minister Akot Claire after she discovered the president had ‘a one night shot’ with her too and the two don’t see eye to eye as of now.
One of the people who has suffered the president’s ‘horse like’ appetite for sex is his own Deputy Prime Minister Ongom Fred. This is after the president carried his girlfriend in the faculty of education to Kampala for a conference intended for guild officials even though she is an ordinary student. The two are said to have shared a room even with the knowledge that she was his friend’s girlfriend. The innocent minor realising she had been used cried and the two went for a blood test that very morning.
Even though Ongom realised, he has kept on defending his gov’t because he hopes to get support from him for his presidential campaigns. The president has since then rewarded Ongom for his loyalty by making him the acting Guild President whenever he is away something he is so proud of. Just like Adam, the original sin has it for the failures of his government.
