News around UCU is not pleasing at all. Many are complaining and requiring the administration to make a formal communication about the departure of the Director of Students Affairs – Rev. Tweheyo Milton. Rev. Milton has served UCU Mukono from 2008 to date and throughout his leadership; he has been a parent, counselor, mentor and helper to very many students who have gone through his hands.
University Newspaper Chief Editor Cautioned
The Standard which is the institution news paper has not published anything about his departure, Scoop has it that the chief editor was summoned not to write anything about him or conduct a life profile history and experience of a person who has served with integrity and total commitment to his office – What a Shame!!.
Sources have it that the Milton was given a letter refusing to rene his contract but it had no reason as to why the big heads of the University refused to renew it, however, it is assumed that the Director was diabetic and they claim that his performance has been poor and not impressive to the administration and that’s why they wouldn’t renew his contract – Is this real??
Up to this day, the Human Resource Manager has not communicated the official farewell day for the Director and yet Rev. Milton ceases to serve as the Director of Students affairs with effect from 14th February 2015.
Students Plan To Strike
Students who threatened to strike because of this move were silenced by the elders of the guild and were told to be patient to hear the official communication from the Vice Chancellor Rev. Can. Dr. Senyonyi John who is out of the country until 12th February 2015.
