Students who reside in Beko Hostel, Mbarara University of Science and Technology are up in flames because of water shortage. Students have been foregoing baths dues to the water shortage. a close source tips this writer that students especially girls, who wish to shower have opted for rain water.
“We can no longer host chics since we have no water in the loos and showers,” a pissed Beko Hostel resident said.
Privacy and health issues have also been raised since students are many and sharing one small pit latrine. Students have for the past weeks complained but the administration has not take any action to avert the situation.
