Makerere finalist and singer Spice Diana has publically admitted that her campus journey was not as smooth as her music career. While appearing on NTV’s The Beat with Douglas Lwanga last Friday, the ‘Bukete’ singer admitted that she got two retakes throughout her campus journey.
The self styled stargyal went ahead to reveal that she got one retake in her first year and the other in the last year. The excited singer also revealed that she is so happy for having completed campus, “I am now waiting for my exam results which have already started coming out and I will graduate early next year,” the optimistic Spice Diana revealed.
While wrapping up her interview, Spice noted that the lecturers never noticed that she was a singer until towards the end of her course. “They were surprised to know that am an artiste. They told me very few singers have completed their studies at Makerere,” Spice concluded. She made these remarks when she appeared to officially premier her latest video ‘Bukete’ as well as teasing her upcoming project with video director Sasha Vybz.
It should be noted that Spice Diana has been pursuing Industrial Art and Design at Makerere University for three complete years. She described her campus journey as challenging for her to balance her studies at the same time recording music and as well as performances.
