In light of the recent set backs caused by the unabatingly tenacious COVID-19 that has successfully tarnished the first-half of the university academic year, the Higher Education Students’ Financing Board often abbreviated as HESFB has extended the call for the student-loan applications for the year 2020/2021 from the previously mentioned date to the 31st of August 2020.
Our reporter while speaking to one of the executives learnt that the reason behind this strategic yet seemly desperate move was to ensure all students whether joining university or any other tertiary institutions that are admitted late due to the various delays in admission letter releases by institutions are catered for and not neglected.
Students both newly joining and continuing are encouraged to engage themselves with HESFB, a body Corporate established by an Act of Parliament, number 2 of 2014, to provide both Loans and Scholarships to Ugandan Students to pursue higher Education incase of any mishap or discontinuity in their finances so as to complete their higher education and better their possibilities and opportunities in the near future.
