The regulator of students’ loan scheme Higher Education Students Financing Board (HESFB) has for the second time extended the deadline for 2020/2021 loan scheme applicants.
This has been done to cater for all students who were left out due to various reasons. It should be noted that some of the institutions accredited by HESFB such as Kyambogo University have not released 2020/2021 private admission lists. The Joint admissions board (JAB) has also not concluded the national selection exercise for students to different Business Technical Vocational Training (BTVET) institutions.
Basing on this, HESFB has extended the application deadline to 30th September 2020 and 15th October 2020 for undergraduate degree and diploma applicants respectively.
For applicants who are already admitted at their desired institution and are yet to receive admission letters, are requested to attach the page of the admission list highlighting the applicant’s name. This will act as a substitute for admission letter and fees structure.
To apply visit any nearby centenary bank branch. Applicants are also reminded to pay a nonrefundable loan processing fee of UGX 53,000 in centenary Bank. For more information visit www.hesfb.go.ug
