Kyambogo University has lost another student in a period of less than one week. The latest information reaching us from this Banda based campus indicates that a student identified as Obed Tumuhimbise has been knocked dead by a speeding Ipsum via Kyandondo at the Lugogo bypass. Tumuhimbise whose stomach was deeply cut and part of the head squashed died on the spot.
Tumuhimbise has been a third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in management science got involved with his non-student friend as they were riding a motorbike. Tumuhimbise was left dead on the spot and his colleague was rushed to Mulago hospital with a lot of injuries.
The University’s guild information minister Henry Kitakule has informed us that the burial will take place tomorrow afternoon at around 3 pm at the deceased home village in Kasese. May his soul rest in peace.
