The Ministry of Education and Sports has announced the availability of Algerian Government Scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic year.
These scholarships are open to qualified Ugandan students who wish to pursue studies in various fields at universities in Algeria.
The scholarships cover a wide range of disciplines, including Science and Technologies, Mathematics and Computing, Medical Sciences, and Veterinary Sciences, among others.
A total of 100 slots are available for Ugandan students.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must have obtained at least two principal passes at the A-Level with a minimum of C grade in the relevant subject combinations.
- Candidates must be under 25 years old at the time of application and should have completed their A-Level studies in 2023.
- Applicants should possess a biometric passport and other necessary documentation, including birth certificates and medical certificates.
Application Procedure:
Prospective candidates should download the application form from the Ministry of Education and Sports website. Completed forms should be submitted with a recent passport photo and relevant documents either via email to scholarships@education.go.ug or delivered in person to the Department of Admissions, Scholarship and Students Affairs at the Ministry.
Important to note is that the deadline for submitting applications is Wednesday, 14th August 2024 and the shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews, with the final list of selected scholars expected to be released on Tuesday, 20th August 2024.
